We are seeking an experienced and motivated Millwright/Foreman to join our client's fabrication and industrial maintenance team. This position is responsible for leading crews, performing equipment installation and repairs, overseeing maintenance projects, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, welding experience, and the ability to coordinate and supervise job site activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise crews on fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair projects.
- Perform preventative and emergency maintenance on industrial equipment and machinery.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and align conveyors, material handling systems, bucket elevators, cranes, and related equipment.
- Perform stick welding and other fabrication tasks as needed.
- Conduct equipment alignments, belt installations, splicing, and mechanical repairs.
- Operate forklifts and assist with rigging and material handling activities.
- Utilize lathes and other shop equipment to support maintenance and fabrication operations.
- Enforce safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
- Coordinate project activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within specifications.
- Inspect equipment and identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Millwright, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Foreman, or related role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with stick welding and industrial fabrication practices.
- Knowledge of material handling equipment, conveyors, bucket elevators, cranes, and industrial machinery.
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and emergency repair procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and work instructions.
- Leadership experience preferred for Foreman-level candidates.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to pass a drug screen when required by specific job sites.
Requirements
- Must provide and maintain personal hand tools.
- Ability to work 10–12 hour shifts and overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment in industrial environments.
- Willingness to travel when required.
