The Asset Integration Planner is responsible for developing and implementing the maintenance systems, documentation, and asset management processes required to successfully integrate new capital equipment into daily operations. This role ensures new equipment is fully configured within PLEX and maintenance systems before turnover to Operations, establishing the preventive maintenance strategies, spare parts, equipment records, job plans, and technical documentation necessary to support long-term equipment reliability.
Working closely with Project Integration, Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, EHS, Quality, Purchasing, and equipment vendors, the Asset Integration Planner ensures new assets meet company standards and are fully prepared for sustainable maintenance and production support. This position is intended to support the Company's capital project initiatives and is expected to transition into the Maintenance Planner role as project activities are completed.
WHAT we need you to do.
Asset Integration & System Development

Develop equipment records and asset structures within PLEX and other maintenance systems.

Configure preventive maintenance (PM), predictive maintenance (PM), inspections, lubrication routes, and maintenance schedules for new equipment.

Create and maintain equipment hierarchies, asset data, and maintenance records.

Verify equipment information is complete and accurately entered before operational turnover.
Maintenance Strategy Development

Develop maintenance plans, job plans, and standard maintenance procedures for new equipment.

Establish recommended maintenance frequencies based on OEM recommendations, equipment criticality, and reliability best practices.

Develop spare parts lists, bill of materials (BOMs), and critical spare parts strategies.

Identify required tools, materials, labor requirements, and maintenance resources.
Equipment Startup & Turnover

Participate in equipment acceptance and turnover processes.

Verify maintenance documentation, spare parts, and PM programs are complete prior to equipment handoff to Operations and Maintenance.

Coordinate documentation received from equipment suppliers and contractors.
Collaboration

Partner with Maintenance, Project Integration, Engineering, Operations, EHS, Quality, Purchasing, and vendors throughout project execution.

Ensure new equipment complies with company maintenance standards, safety requirements, regulatory requirements, and reliability expectations.

Support training of maintenance personnel on newly installed equipment, maintenance procedures, and documentation.

Recommend improvements to maintenance standards, asset management practices, and equipment reliability.
WHAT you need to possess.
Core Skills
-
Associate degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline preferred.

Three (3) to five (5) years of industrial maintenance, maintenance planning, reliability, or equipment installation experience preferred.

Experience with PLEX, CMMS, ERP systems, or other computerized maintenance management systems preferred.

Working knowledge of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, equipment reliability, and asset management principles.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, P&IDs, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.

Strong organizational, planning, analytical, and documentation skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, EHS, and Quality.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Preferred Skills
-
Experience supporting capital projects, equipment commissioning, and manufacturing startups.

Knowledge of equipment criticality assessments and maintenance strategy development.

Familiarity with spare parts planning and bill of materials (BOM) development.

Experience creating preventive maintenance programs, job plans, and standardized maintenance procedures.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments.
-
Regular presence on the production floor is required to inspect equipment, verify asset information, support startups, and coordinate project activities.

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs throughout the facility.

Must be able to lift and carry up to50 pounds occasionally.

Must follow all required safety policies and wear appropriate personalprotective equipment (PPE) while in operational areas.
Position Note
This position is intended to support the Company's current capital project initiatives and is expected to remain project-focused for approximately two (2) years. Following completion of these initiatives and based on business needs, the role is expected to transition into the Maintenance Planner position.
