Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced golf-themed environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting cocktails, serving beverages, and food to guests and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience.
X-Golf Commack is an extremely busy, fast paced environment with 9 golf simulators and over 10,000 feet of sports bar and entertainment space.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and making recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Handle cash register operations, process payments accurately, and manage cash handling responsibilities.
- Assist with banquet services as needed, ensuring timely delivery of drinks during events.
- Monitor inventory levels of liquor, mixers, and supplies; assist in ordering as necessary.
- Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when applicable.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Experience in food service or bartending; knowledge of cocktail recipes is a plus.
- Knowledge of golf and other sports is a strong bonus; the majority of customers have an interest in golf and are there to play golf in some form.
- Proficiency in cash handling and familiarity with cash register operations.
- Basic understanding of retail math for managing transactions effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a high-energy setting.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong following on social media; active and engaging to promote the nights you work
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
