We are currently looking for an experienced Freelance Quality Auditor to support a leading wind turbine manufacturer. In this short-term assignment, you will help ensure quality, safety, and compliance across wind projects in the US and Canada. Your insights will directly impact the performance and reliability of vital energy infrastructure.
About the role
This freelance opportunity involves on-site quality audits, risk identification, and structured reporting. Your findings will guide project teams toward best practices and continuous improvement – all while keeping sustainability at the forefront.
In this role, you will:
Conduct on-site quality audits at wind farms on behalf of a global OEM
Review installation and O&M activities for compliance with standards and project-specific procedures
Assess documentation, quality records, and reports
Identify non-conformities and risks; recommend corrective actions
Deliver transparent audit results to clients and internal teams
Support continuous improvement with technical feedback and insights
The role requires structured planning, solid technical understanding, and proactive collaboration with both internal and client stakeholders.
Your profile – Skilled auditor with wind energy experience
We are looking for a freelance professional who combines technical knowledge with a structured and quality-conscious approach.
We expect you to bring:
A relevant engineering degree (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering)
Minimum 5 years of experience in the wind energy sector
Proven auditing skills, preferably from energy, construction, or manufacturing
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other QA/QC standards
Strong documentation and reporting skills
Understanding of turbine installation, commissioning, and O&M
