Key Qualifications:
- Current Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License) with School Nurse endorsement required
- Certified School Nurse licensure in Illinois is mandatory
- Previous school-based RN experience highly valued
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Experience with IEP meetings and supporting students with special needs is a plus
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive health services in both high school and elementary settings
- Provide daily care to students in the health office, addressing illnesses, injuries, and ongoing health needs
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, supporting students with diverse medical and educational needs
- Maintain accurate health records in accordance with school and state regulations
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents regarding student health and wellness
- Ensure each building’s health office is prepared and supplied for daily operations
Assignment Details:
- Start: December 14, 2026 – March 15, 2027, with potential to extend
- Full-time hours: High school (Mon-Wed, 7am-2:30pm) and elementary school (Thurs-Fri, 8am-4pm)
