As a Plumber Helper, you will assist with various tasks that support the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to code. Responsibilities
- Assist experienced plumbers with pipe installation, fitting, and assembly tasks on construction sites
- Support the setup and use of hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment safely and effectively
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications
- Help with plumbing system maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety protocols
- Prepare work areas by organizing materials, measuring accurately using basic math skills, and ensuring safety standards are met
- Support welding activities when necessary and assist with remodeling or handyman tasks related to plumbing systems
- Maintain cleanliness of work sites, handle tools properly, and adhere to all safety procedures during daily operations
Requirements
- Construction experience or background in construction plumbing is highly preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and general building infrastructure
- Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety protocols and building code compliance
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations
- Strong customer service attitude when interacting with clients or team members on-site
- Knowledge of pipe installation techniques, system maintenance, and repair procedures
- Ability to follow instructions carefully while working independently or as part of a team
- Handyman experience or prior remodeling/maintenance work is a plus
