Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with individuals with autism and other developmental disorders, implementing behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). This role is crucial in providing support and education to clients and their families, fostering a positive environment for growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Collect and record data on client progress, ensuring accuracy for research and assessment purposes.
- Provide direct care to clients, assisting them in achieving their goals related to behavioral health and daily living skills.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral therapy techniques and strategies for managing behaviors effectively.
- Maintain medical records in compliance with confidentiality regulations and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with team members to develop care plans that address the unique needs of each client.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and patient care.
Experience
- Prior experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or in a similar behavioral health setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to understand medical records is beneficial.
- Experience in research data collection related to behavioral interventions is a plus.
- A strong commitment to educating clients, families, and team members about effective behavioral strategies is essential.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles is required, along with a passion for helping others achieve their potential through behavioral therapy.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
