Position: Full-Time Monitor Technician
Department: Cardiac Monitoring Center
Location: UPMC Passavant
Shifts: 36 hours per week; rotating shifts, including evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Title and salary will be determined based upon education and patient care experience.
Responsibilities:

High school or equivalent
Experience in Cardiac Telemetry monitoring or EKG desired
Prior experience desired in a clinical or diagnostic cardiac health care setting, preferably hospital based OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Documented proficiency of cardiac dysrhythmias recognition required
Ability to pass hospital provided dysrhythmia course with a score of 90% or better
Performance of basic keyboarding skills required to operate equipment.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
Cardiac Technician, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic background desired.
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
