Sperling Medical Associates is a private Primary Care Practice looking for an experienced CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT. Join our team of motivated individuals focused on patient care!
Candidate must hold a current and verifiable Certified Medical Assistant certificate with State of New Jersey registration number. This is a full time position Monday through Friday. Applicant must be able to work during operating hours.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Triage
- Complete patient triage by taking vitals and confirming medical history
- Prepare exam rooms before patients are taken back
- Notify admin. team when items need to be reordered
- Perform EKGs, administer vaccinations & assist providers during minor procedures
- Supports patient care by preparing laboratory specimens; disposing of contaminated supplies; sterilizing medical instruments; administering medications on the premises; routing prescription requests
Administrative Duties
- Manage patient records & assist with documentation in EMR
- Handle refill requests and assist staff with drug & procedural prior authorizations
- Support front office tasks as needed, including answering phones, scheduling patients, and check-in/check-out
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential.
- Additional duties as assigned by physician or practice manager
- Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
Expected Schedule:
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays: 8:30AM - 4PM
- Wednesdays: 12PM - 7PM
- Fridays: 9AM-3PM
Requirements/Skills:
- Must be in good physical condition able to withstand the stress and demands of an active position **REQUIRED**
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA)**REQUIRED**
- Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and medical terminology **REQUIRED**
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification *preferred*
- 1+ year of experience in an outpatient setting *preferred*
- Excellent communication & organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with patients and staff
- Strong ethical standards and adherence to medical regulations
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills
