Citrus Valley is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Office Medical Receptionist to join our primary care team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, staying organized in a fast-paced clinic, and being the welcoming first point of contact for our office.
As a Front Office team member, you will play an important role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting daily clinic operations, scheduling, insurance verification, payments, documentation, and communication between patients and clinical staff.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Greet patients in a professional, courteous, and caring manner
Answer phones and assist patients with questions, messages, and appointment needs
Register new patients and update demographics and insurance information
Verify insurance eligibility and coverage for each visit
Collect copays, coinsurance, deductibles, balances, and Credit Card on File information
Run patient cost estimates and assist with Care Credit when applicable
Schedule appointments according to provider protocols
Prepare daily deposit reports and balance payments at the end of the shift
Print provider schedules and prepare patient bill sheets
Prepare and process referrals, lab slips, quality forms, IEHP, ACO, 5 STAR, and Cozeva forms
Scan medical records, registration packets, and related documentation
Send missed appointment letters
Note patient quality measure needs, such as mammograms, colonoscopies, or injections
Communicate written patient messages to providers and medical assistants
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all HIPAA requirements
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and infection control guidelines
Assist other departments or clinic sites as needed

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of a Medical Front Office program preferred
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Calendar, or Microsoft Calendar
Knowledge of medical insurance, eligibility verification, quality programs, and audit protocols preferred
Understanding of HIPAA rules and patient confidentiality
Prior medical front office or receptionist experience preferred
Additional Requirements
Must be willing to work at any site needed for coverage in the Corona and Norco area
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion
May be asked to support other departments depending on staffing needs
Remote work may be available at the company’s discretion
