American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week day shift contract at an academic medical center in Oklahoma City, OK.

Hospital-based respiratory care department serving all appropriate age levels across multiple areas of the facility

Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program required

Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience required; 2+ years in a critical care setting preferred

RRT credential required (must be received within 12 months of hire)

Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (license required if applicable)

BLS certification (American Heart Association) required upon hire
-
ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required within 3 months of hire

All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring

Respond as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests

Document treatment information and patient responses in the electronic medical record

Serve as a resource to medical staff and ensure respiratory equipment is cleaned and properly maintained

Previous travelers or employees at this facility must have a 6-month separation before being eligible for a new contract; extensions are permitted only once for a total of 26 weeks

This facility enforces strict compliance deadlines — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding requirements immediately upon acceptance
