Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced tax professional who has significant hands-on review experience and is comfortable operating as the final technical authority on returns during tax season.
The person will:
- Lead and perform final review of individual and business returns
- Provide technical guidance to staff and ensure consistency in tax positions
- Help hire, train, and develop preparers and senior staff
- Assist with complex tax matters and IRS/state issues
- Help us build a scalable review structure as the firm grows
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are targeting someone who:
- Has 8-15+ years of tax experience
- Has extensive hands-on review experience (not just preparation)
- Has reviewed high volumes of returns during tax season (ideally hundreds to 1,000+ annually)
- Is strong with S-Corp and Partnership taxation
- Has experience managing or mentoring staff
- Is comfortable stepping into a leadership role within a growing platform
- CPA strongly preferred
Candidates currently working as Senior Manager, Director, or experienced Manager-level reviewers in regional CPA firms would likely be strong fits.
