A reputable Hospital is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join its Radiology Services team on a full-time, permanent basis in Watertown, NY.
Under the direction of a Radiologist, the MRI Technologist performs MRI and radiology procedures with a high degree of technical competency and minimal supervision while maintaining strict patient safety and imaging quality standards.

Responsibilities-
- Perform MRI and radiologic imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist.
- Operate MRI equipment safely and effectively while following established protocols.
- Perform imaging procedures with minimal supervision of technical details.
- Ensure accurate patient positioning, imaging, and documentation.
- Follow all MRI safety protocols and procedures to protect patients, staff, and visitors.
- Screen patients for MRI safety concerns, contraindications, and other relevant factors.
- Administer IV contrast when required and within established protocols.
- Provide a positive patient experience while addressing imaging-related needs and concerns.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patients throughout the imaging process.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient and procedure documentation.
- Collaborate with Radiologists, Radiology staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a high standard of quality, accuracy, professionalism, and patient-centered care.
Qualifications (Required)-
- Graduate of an AMA-approved 24-month School of Radiologic Technology program.
- 12 months of previous MRI experience preferred.
- ARRT certification in Radiography required.
- ARRT certification in MRI preferred.
- New York State license in Radiologic Technology required.
- New York State IV Contrast certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- BLS certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety, imaging procedures, and patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Qualifications (good to have)-
- Previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare imaging environment.
- Experience performing a variety of MRI examinations.
- Familiarity with radiology information systems and electronic medical records.
- Strong technical judgment and ability to work independently.

Pay: $80,500.00 - $104,300.00 per year

- NYS Radiologic Technology license (Required)
