Job Summary (Essential Functions)
This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and overall appearance of Wynlakes’ Golf Wing, including the Men’s Grill, Men’s Locker Room, Turn Room, restrooms, and common areas. The Golf Wing Attendant plays an important role in providing a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for members, guests, and staff while upholding the Club’s standards of excellence and presentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Locker Room & Member Services
- Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and overall appearance of the Men’s Locker Room.
- Ensure benches, chairs, card tables, and other furniture are clean, straightened, and properly positioned.
- Wipe down shelves, tables, chairs, fixtures, and other surfaces daily and as needed throughout the day.
- Dust lockers, including tops and sides, daily and as needed.
- Promptly collect used towels and place them in the appropriate receptacles.
- Ensure towels, soap, toiletries, and other supplies remain adequately stocked.
- Promptly remove names of resigned members from lockers and add names of new members.
- Remove personal belongings from unassigned lockers and properly secure items in Lost and Found.
- Vacuum, mop, and disinfect locker room floors daily and as needed throughout the day.
- Empty trash receptacles daily and as needed.
- Offer shoe-shining services to members and complete assigned shoe-shining responsibilities.
- Clean and sanitize mirrors, sinks, toilets, urinals, stalls, doors, showers, floors, and drains.
- Clean and disinfect shower walls, floors, and drains daily and as needed.
- Clean and maintain the sauna area, tubs, and other facilities and equipment within the locker room.
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and attentive presence when interacting with members and guests.
- Protect the privacy, personal belongings, and confidentiality of members and guests.
- Maintain coffee service areas to ensure they remain clean, organized, fully stocked, and presentable throughout operating hours.
Janitorial Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, Men’s Grill, offices, hallways, Turn Room, and other common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors, including carpets, walkways, entryways, stairwells, landings, patios, and other indoor and outdoor areas.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles, maintain waste areas, and transport trash to the dumpster.
- Dust, wipe, and disinfect furniture, fixtures, railings, high-touch surfaces, and patio furniture.
- Polish brass, glass, table surfaces, counters, shelves, desks, office equipment, door handles, and other appropriate surfaces.
- Replenish restroom supplies, towels, feminine hygiene products, toiletries, and other guest amenities.
- Clean interior and exterior windows.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of member-facing areas.
- Conduct routine inspections of Golf Wing to identify and address cleaning needs.
- Perform spot cleaning, detailed cleaning, and deep-cleaning projects as needed.
- Transport linens to and from the laundry room.
Safety, Maintenance & Administrative Responsibilities
- Promptly report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged property, or repairs needed to supervision, including blown light bulbs, plumbing issues, damaged drapes, missing hooks, or other concerns.
- Notify supervision of purchasing needs for linens, cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other housekeeping materials.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures.
- Properly operate and maintain cleaning equipment and report equipment concerns to supervision.
- Attend departmental staff meetings and required training sessions.
- Complete other appropriate assignments made by the Director of Facilities.
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or locker room attendant experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospitality, country club, hotel, or member-service environment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to prioritize multiple cleaning and member-service responsibilities throughout the workday.
- Reliable, punctual, dependable, and professional in appearance and conduct.
- Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
- Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism when working in locker rooms, restrooms, villas, and other member areas.
- Ability to safely operate commercial cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals according to established procedures.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate vacuums, floor equipment, laundry equipment, and other commercial cleaning equipment.
- Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals and follow required safety procedures.
- Ability to perform duties in both indoor and outdoor environments as required.
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
