Job Overview
The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for operating and supporting manufacturing processes to meet Safety, Quality, and Production goals. This role focuses on learning equipment operation, adhering to standard operating procedures, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives while building technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Operate assigned machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor equipment performance to ensure production targets for safety, quality, and output are met.
- Perform basic troubleshooting to address minor equipment issues and escalate more complex problems as needed.
- Execute routine cleaning, inspection, and lubrication (CIL) activities following established TPM standards.
- Assist in equipment changeovers and product adjustments, ensuring adherence to documented procedures.
- Identify and report equipment abnormalities, defects, or safety concerns using standard reporting systems.
- Maintain accurate production records, logs, and documentation.
- Follow all safety guidelines, GMP requirements, and company policies to ensure compliance.
- Support 5S and workplace organization standards to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and assist higher-level technicians during operations and maintenance tasks.
- Participate in training, onboarding, and continuous improvement activities.
- Demonstrate flexibility to support shift coverage and production needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Technical diploma, vocational certification, or associate degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Mechanical, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and machine operation.
- Familiarity with mechanical concepts such as simple pneumatics, sensors, and machinery components (preferred).
- Ability to read and follow SOPs, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement principles.
- Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Understanding of production metrics such as safety, quality, and efficiency.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull materials (within company guidelines).
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (noise, moving equipment, etc.).

- Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and adherence to procedures.
- Show continuous learning and skill development progression.
