American Traveler is hiring a Critical Care/ED Float RN for a night shift position requiring ICU or ED experience along with Med-Surg and Telemetry background.

Hospital-based Float Pool position covering ICU, ED, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Transitional Care, and Observation units
-
Float assignments include coverage across three Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units, three Transitional Care/Observation units, the Emergency Department, and the ICU
-
Patient population includes critical care, emergency, medical-surgical, and telemetry cases
-
Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts
-
Works 3 days per week for 36 hours per week

Float assignments determined shift-by-shift by the Clinical House Supervisor based on hospital capacity and operational needs
-
Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact) required
-
BLS certification required
-
ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
-
Experience in either the Emergency Department (ED) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) required
-
Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience required

Strong critical-thinking skills and clinical competence across multiple care settings required
-
Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
-
Provide flexible nursing support throughout the organization in response to patient care and staffing needs
-
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document in accordance with RN scope of practice and hospital policies
-
Deliver safe, high-quality patient care across multiple clinical settings with strong adaptability
-
Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members
-
Facilitate timely patient discharge processes in coordination with Case Management
-
Provide input into patient/nurse assignments based on staffing, unit activity, and patient acuity
-
Promote a positive team environment and actively participate in unit-based activities
