Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers with lesson implementation, including curriculum development for subjects such as literacy, math, and early childhood education
- Support students with disabilities, including those with autism and developmental disabilities, by providing tailored instructional assistance and behavioral support
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet each student’s unique learning needs
- Manage classroom activities and behavior to promote a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment
- Support classroom management strategies by organizing materials, preparing instructional resources, and maintaining a positive atmosphere
- Assist with childcare duties for preschool or toddler-aged children in Montessori or other early childhood programs
- Monitor student progress through observations and assessments, providing feedback to teachers and families as needed
- Foster social-emotional development by encouraging positive interactions and supporting behavioral management strategies
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings; preschool or private school experience is a plus
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Familiarity with special education procedures, including IEP implementation and behavior management techniques
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, autism, or developmental delays preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, staff, families, and specialists
- Ability to manage classroom activities confidently while maintaining a nurturing environment
- Background in curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, or Montessori methods is advantageous
