Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Labor/ Drywall Finishing Specialist to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in completing drywall installation, finishing, and related tasks that bring construction projects to life. Responsibilities
- Apply drywall sheets accurately and securely to walls and ceilings following project specifications and blueprints
- Finish drywall surfaces by taping, mudding, sanding, and smoothing to achieve a flawless appearance
- Install corner beads, trims, and moldings to enhance the durability and aesthetic of finished surfaces
- Perform plastering work where necessary to repair or prepare surfaces for finishing
- Collaborate with carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of drywall with other building components
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute precise installations
- Assist with related tasks such as caulking, insulation installation, or minor framing adjustments as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction roles with a strong understanding of drywall techniques
- Knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading for accurate project execution
- Skilled in plastering, taping, sanding, and applying finishing coats for high-quality results
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and proper use of tools and equipment including hand tools and airless paint sprayers
- Experience working on diverse construction projects such as remodeling, restoration industry tasks, or new builds
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings confidently to follow project plans precisely
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and flooring installation
- Additional skills such as tile laying, metal stud framing, door hanging, or water damage restoration are considered valuable assets
