Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Monitor patients’ health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals.
- Support medication administration following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption to promote proper nutrition.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
- Document care activities meticulously, including patient observations, progress notes, and updates to care plans.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for residents or clients with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs.
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home health settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and the ability to recognize signs of distress or health deterioration.
- Hands-on experience with patient monitoring tools such as vital sign measurement devices.
- Familiarity with care procedures involving Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is advantageous; ongoing training in HIPAA compliance and safety protocols is expected.
- Experience utilizing assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> equipment is beneficial.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
