Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by efficiently handling multiple orders and managing time effectively.
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, including proper storage, temperature control, and hygiene practices.
- Contribute to menu planning discussions by providing feedback on dish execution and suggesting improvements based on culinary experience.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, preferably with fine dining experience or catering background.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques essential for efficient meal assembly.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience with meal preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment operation.
