Production Cook
Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare meals in bulk using standardized recipes
- Cook a variety of foods including meats, vegetables, soups, and baked goods
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and food storage areas
- Follow food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP standards)
Job Requirements
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
- Culinary degree or cooking certification preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience cooking in a high volume institutional catering environment preferred.
- Must have strong efficiency in knife skills
- Must be able to read, write and understand English
- Must be able to use fingers/hands to handle equipment
- Must be able to lift and push 50+ lbs
- Must be able to stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during shift of 8+ hours.
- Must be flexible and able to react to changing priorities.
- Must have an understanding of various cooking techniques and the ability to follow recipes
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Must have a strong understanding of food safety and & HACCP regulations
