We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Billing professional to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, vital signs measurement, and documentation of medical history using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist with procedures within various clinical environments.
- Manage patient records accurately, including updating medical histories and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Support billing processes by verifying insurance information, submitting claims electronically, and following up on unpaid or rejected claims to optimize revenue cycle management.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and coordinating follow-up care in outpatient settings.
- Maintain clinical supplies inventory and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly to uphold safety standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical support role within outpatient clinics, hospitals, or specialty practices such as urgent care.
- Knowledge of medical assisting techniques including vital signs collection, phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS).
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and electronic health records management.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Excellent patient service skills combined with organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
