Position Overview
IPS Industries is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Inbound Receiving, Quality Control & Warehouse Administrative Lead to support our warehouse and distribution operations. This role combines inbound logistics coordination, quality inspection, warehouse administration, and physical QC/repack work to ensure inventory accuracy, product quality, and smooth cross-functional communication.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, balances administrative accuracy with physical execution, and takes ownership of inbound quality, documentation, and process flow.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound Receiving & Warehouse Operations
· Schedule and coordinate full truckload (FTL) and container inbound shipments into the distribution center.
· Oversee unloading, receiving, and inspection of inbound goods with support from forklift drivers and lumpers.
· Ensure accurate counting, verification, palletizing, and labeling of inbound products.
· Re-palletize shipments as required to meet IPS specifications.
· Update product locations, quantities, and receipt confirmations in Microsoft Dynamics Navision (ERP).
· Maintain clean, organized receiving and staging areas.
Quality Control & Repack Operations
· Perform product inspections (training provided) to ensure compliance with quality standards.
· Measure products using tape measures and verify specifications.
· Complete inspection and QC reports accurately (English reading/writing required).
· Repack products, re-label cartons, apply pallet labels, and hand-wrap pallets.
· Safely lift, move, and stack products weighing 10–40 lbs.
· Support continuous quality improvement through attention to detail and consistency.
Warehouse Administration & Inventory Control
· Prepare and maintain inbound and outbound documentation, including:
o Packing lists
o Picking tickets
o Bills of lading
o Inspection reports
· Serve as a communication bridge between warehouse staff, customer service, procurement, and operations teams.
· Maintain organized physical and electronic records.
· Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and discrepancy resolution.
· Use Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and reconciliation activities.
· Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
General Warehouse Support & Safety
· Assist warehouse staff with repacking, verification, and handling as needed.
· Perform sweeping, cleanup, and trash removal to maintain a safe work environment.
· Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines.
· Promote teamwork, accountability, and clear communication on the warehouse floor.
Required Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent (required).
· Proven experience in warehouse receiving, quality control, inventory management, or warehouse administration.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
· Comfortable with physical work, including lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.
· Basic math skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
· Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
· ERP experience preferred (Microsoft Dynamics Navision a plus).
· Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (Spanish required for some roles).
· Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Edison, NJ 08817.
Preferred Experience
· 1+ year of customer service or cross-functional communication experience.
· Prior experience in QC inspection, packaging, or repack operations.
· Exposure to inbound logistics, container receiving, or distribution centers.
