The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, responsible Entry-Level Customs Entry Writer to join our growing operations team. No prior customs experience is required—we provide comprehensive hands-on training for driven candidates who possess strong problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and full bilingual fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin).

This is a hybrid position requiring at least 4 days on-site per week at our Central Long Island office.
Key Responsibilities
- Entry Processing: Assist in preparing and filing U.S. Customs entries (CBP Forms 7501, 3461, Type 86) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Document Review: Examine commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agencies (FDA, EPA, etc.).
- Bilingual Communication: Communicate daily with clients, overseas vendors, and freight forwarders in both English and Mandarin to collect missing documents, clarify product details, and answer routine import queries.
- Accountability: Track assigned shipments from initial document receipt through customs release and final delivery, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Tech Adoption: Learn and utilize our ABI customs software and AI-assisted workflow tools to maximize speed and data accuracy.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: 4-year Bachelor’s Degree required (Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related fields preferred, but all majors welcome).
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. We do not offer visa sponsorship.
- Experience: 0 to 3 years of experience in customs brokerage, logistics, or administrative roles. (Full training provided!)
- Languages: Full professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required.
- Location & Work Schedule: Must be based in Long Island/NY Metro area and able to work on-site in Central Long Island at least 4 days per week.
