Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and skilled at turning complex requirements into accurate pricing proposals? We're seeking an Estimating Specialist to play a critical role in supporting customers and internal teams by delivering timely, accurate quotations that drive business success.In this role, you'll collaborate with customer service, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to develop competitive quotes, manage project requirements, and help ensure customer expectations are met from initial inquiry through project execution.
Your Responsibilities:
As an Estimating Specialist, you will:
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for standard and custom projects while supporting profitability goals.
- Review customer requirements, specifications, and engineering documentation to develop complete pricing proposals.
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, customer service, and other departments to verify costs, lead times, and project requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of quotes, bid submissions, pricing documentation, and project history.
- Ensure engineering and contractual requirements are accurately incorporated into quotations and bid packages.
- Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, answer questions, and support project timelines.
- Analyze project information and pricing data using Excel and other company systems.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to support accurate quoting and project administration.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships while helping resolve questions and concerns.
- Support special projects and additional departmental responsibilities as assigned.
Your Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to ITAR regulations.
- 3–5 years of related experience in quoting, estimating, project coordination, customer service, or a similar business environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with financial, business, and project management principles.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document pricing proposals clearly and accurately.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, including managing multiple projects and spreadsheets simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently, follow written and verbal instructions, and meet established deadlines.
- Proven record of reliability, attendance, and quality-focused work.
- Flexibility to work overtime when business needs require.
