Kindergarten Teacher
Holy Family School in South Bend is in search of a qualified teacher for kindergarten. The ideal candidate will be faith-filled and dedicated to providing quality, data driven instruction for students of all abilities integrating the mission of Holy Family School and the Diocese of Fort Wayne / South Bend in all planning, teaching, and classroom activities.
Qualified Candidates Will be Able to:

Organize learning activities that foster a nurturing environment and teach foundational literacy and numeracy skills.

Provide instruction in accordance with state and diocesan guidelines using the following curriculum materials.

I Am Special Religion Curriculum

iREADY Math and the IXL online program for math instruction.

Amplify ELA Curriculum
-
Heggerty Phonics Instruction
-
FOSS Kits for Science instruction
Promote social/emotional development and growth.

Demonstrate effective classroom management with regards to student organization, behavior, and transitions throughout the day.

Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding all aspects of school life.

Maintain school records as required by the diocese and state.

Collaborate with administrators, partner teachers in the early elementary (kdg-2nd) teaching team, other staff, and parents on various school-wide initiatives, projects, and field trips.

Assess and monitor student progress from various assessments to measure and chart student growth and drive individual assistance.

Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.

Recognize the variety of student learning styles and facilitate learning by adapting instructional methods and teaching materials to student needs.

Commit to ongoing faith formation and professional growth.

Foster the spiritual development of students by modeling Catholic doctrine, values, and morals.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
-
Indiana Elementary teaching license in appropriate grade level/teaching area; or demonstrated eligibility to receive license.

High level thinking and problem solving skills.

Ability to speak and write fluently and grammatically correct English.

Strong written, verbal presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to walk up and down multiple flights of stairs,
-
Stand for 30 minutes at a time,
-
Operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment.
-
Must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds.
