Position Summary
Milestones Moments is seeking an experienced Lead Registered Behavior Technician (Lead RBT) to join our growing clinic in Macon, Georgia.
The Lead RBT is a key member of the clinical team, helping support the daily operation of the clinic while providing leadership, guidance, and training to fellow RBTs. This position is ideal for an experienced RBT who has demonstrated strong clinical judgment, professionalism, reliability, and the ability to support both team members and clinic leadership.
The Lead RBT will work closely with BCBAs and clinical leadership to help maintain an organized, productive, and clinically focused environment. This individual will assist with clinic flow, RBT onboarding and training, team support, and ensuring that clinical expectations and company standards are consistently followed.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The Lead RBT should be comfortable stepping in where needed, supporting staff throughout the day, identifying operational or clinical concerns, and helping create a strong culture of accountability and excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinic Leadership & Daily Flow
- Help oversee the day-to-day flow and organization of the clinic.
- Support smooth transitions between clients, staff, sessions, breaks, and clinic activities.
- Help identify and resolve day-to-day clinic issues before they disrupt services.
- Serve as a resource for RBTs when questions or challenges arise during the workday.
- Communicate concerns involving staffing, client needs, clinic operations, or team performance to the appropriate BCBA or clinical leader.
- Assist clinical leadership in maintaining an organized, professional, safe, and therapeutic clinic environment.
- Model professionalism, dependability, teamwork, and appropriate workplace conduct for the RBT team.
RBT Training & Onboarding
- Assist with the onboarding and orientation of newly hired RBTs.
- Help new team members become familiar with clinic expectations, workflows, policies, documentation standards, and daily routines.
- Provide hands-on support and mentorship to newer RBTs as they transition into their roles.
- Assist with competency development, shadowing, modeling, and ongoing staff training as directed by clinical leadership.
- Reinforce proper implementation of ABA procedures and clinical protocols under BCBA supervision.
- Identify areas where additional RBT training or support may be needed and communicate those needs to clinical leadership.
- Help maintain consistency in expectations across the RBT team.
Clinical Support
- Provide direct ABA therapy to clients as needed and assigned.
- Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans developed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect accurate and timely clinical data.
- Follow all BCBA clinical direction and treatment protocols.
- Support RBTs with proper implementation of programming while remaining within the RBT scope of practice.
- Help promote treatment integrity and consistency across staff working with clients.
- Participate in clinical meetings, trainings, and supervision as required.
- Immediately escalate significant clinical, behavioral, safety, or compliance concerns to the appropriate BCBA or clinical leader.
Team Support & Accountability
- Be a visible and accessible resource for the RBT team.
- Promote a positive, professional, and collaborative clinic culture.
- Encourage accountability around attendance, punctuality, preparedness, documentation, and professional conduct.
- Help identify patterns or concerns involving staff performance and communicate them appropriately to leadership.
- Support RBT engagement, retention, and professional development.
- Help maintain clear communication between RBTs, BCBAs, and clinic leadership.
- Lead by example in professionalism, clinical quality, communication, and commitment to the families we serve.
QualificationsRequired
- Active and current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
- Previous professional experience working as an RBT.
- Previous Lead RBT experience required.
- Experience working in an ABA clinic setting.
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and RBT scope of practice.
- Experience supporting, mentoring, onboarding, or training other RBTs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and strong attendance.
- Ability to remain organized and effective in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Ability to receive and implement feedback from BCBAs and clinical leadership.
- Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information.
Preferred
- Experience assisting with clinic operations or daily staff coordination.
- Experience training or mentoring newly hired RBTs.
- Experience supporting multiple clients and team members within a center-based ABA environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and interest in continued professional growth within the ABA field.
