Position Summary
We're looking for a cultivation leader to take ownership of our nursery and propagation program while managing day-to-day operations across our indoor grow spaces. This is a hands-on lead role for someone who has mastered plant propagation and clone/mother plant management, and is ready to step up into a role that also includes team supervision, scheduling, and operational accountability for indoor cultivation.
This is not an entry-level growing position. We need someone who can both run the nursery personally and manage the people and processes around it.
Responsibilities
- Own the full propagation cycle: mother plant maintenance, clone cutting, rooting, and vegetative care.
- Support propagation for five Tier II OLCC licensed Farms annually, in addition to indoor and greenhouse propagation needs.
- Maintain genetic library health and traceability; manage strain rotation and inventory
- Monitor and adjust environmental conditions (humidity, light, temperature, nutrients) specific to nursery/veg stages.
- Diagnose and resolve plant health issues (pests, pathogens, nutrient deficiencies) before they reach flower rooms.
- Maintain propagation SOPs and train techs on proper technique.
- Oversee daily operations across indoor grow rooms, including scheduling, task delegation, and workflow.
- Supervise and develop cultivation staff; conduct training, performance check-ins, and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with OLCC/state cannabis regulations, including tracking, tagging, and documentation (METRC).
- Manage IPM (integrated pest management) protocols across all growth stages.
- Coordinate harvest scheduling and transitions between nursery, veg, and flower spaces.
- Track and report on yield, plant health metrics, and labor efficiency to management.
- Manage supply inventory (nutrients, media, equipment) and place orders as needed.
- Maintain a clean, compliant, and safe facility in line with state cultivation requirements.
- Assist with budgeting input for cultivation-related costs
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cannabis cultivation experience, with significant propagation/nursery experience required.
- 1+ years in a lead, supervisor, or management capacity (people-management experience is a must, not just plant experience).
- Working knowledge of OLCC regulations and METRC tracking.
- Strong understanding of plant pathology, IPM, and environmental controls.
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a controlled-environment indoor facility.
- Must be 21+ and eligible to obtain an OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit.
- Experience managing multiple growth stages simultaneously (nursery through flower).
- Familiarity with cultivation software/tracking systems beyond METRC.
- Prior experience building or refining SOPs.
