We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and service-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to support our associates and leaders while helping deliver exceptional HR services throughout the resort.
Position Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This position serves as a key resource for associates by assisting with onboarding, recruitment, recordkeeping, training compliance, benefits administration, payroll processing support, employee relations initiatives, and general HR office operations. The Human Resources Coordinator promotes a positive associate experience while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
Essential Functions
Recruitment & Onboarding
Coordinate recruitment activities including posting positions, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
Assist with pre-employment processes, including background checks and new hire documentation.
Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
Prepare and maintain personnel files and onboarding records.
Associate Relations & Support
Serve as a first point of contact for associate questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and employment matters.
Provide excellent customer service to associates, applicants, managers, and visitors.
Support associate recognition, engagement, and wellness initiatives.
Assist with employee events, open enrollment meetings, and company programs.
HR Administration
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with document retention requirements.
Process employee status changes, pay changes, transfers, leaves of absence, and separations.
Assist with unemployment claims, workers' compensation administration, and employment verifications.
Generate reports and maintain HR databases and tracking logs.
Monitor compliance-related requirements including I-9s, training certifications, food handler cards, and other required documentation.
Payroll & Benefits Support
Assist associates with payroll-related questions and direct issue resolution efforts as appropriate.
Support benefits enrollment, changes, audits, and associate communications.
Review HR documentation for completeness and accuracy before processing.
Office Operations
Answer and direct telephone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries.
Order and maintain office supplies, forms, and materials.
Distribute mail and maintain organized filing systems.
Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and other HR documents.

Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience
Minimum one to two years of Human Resources, administrative, or hospitality experience preferred.
Prior hotel or resort experience preferred.
Experience with HRIS and payroll systems preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and confidentiality requirements.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain stationary and work at a computer for extended periods.
Ability to occasionally move, lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 25 pounds.
Ability to move throughout the resort property as needed.
Attendance and Scheduling Requirements
Regular and reliable attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position.
Associates are expected to report to work as scheduled and maintain punctuality standards.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
