Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Service Worker specializing as a Pantry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety practices. This role involves preparing meals, assisting with menu planning, and ensuring high standards of food quality and service for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
- Assist with menu planning to accommodate residents' nutritional needs and preferences.
- Handle food with proper safety and sanitation procedures, maintaining cleanliness in the pantry area.
- Support food service operations by portioning, plating, and serving meals efficiently.
- Maintain inventory of pantry supplies, restocking ingredients as needed while minimizing waste.
- Follow all food handling regulations to ensure safety standards are met consistently.
- Collaborate with dietary staff to ensure meal consistency, quality, and timely delivery.
Experience
Candidates should possess prior experience in dietary or food service roles, preferably within healthcare or senior care settings. Culinary eduation or experience preferred. Previous experience in food service, preferably in a healtcare or long-term care setting. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
