About the Job
Prestige Fence is a bonded, licensed, and insured fence contractor building farm, ranch, cedar, vinyl, chain-link, and ornamental aluminum fence for homeowners, landowners, ranchers, builders, GCs, and commercial property owners across Oklahoma.
We're hiring an experienced Installer — someone who can be handed a section of fence and build it right without being watched. If you can set a post plumb, run a straight line, and hang a gate that swings true, we want to talk to you.
This is not a "learn as you go" position. We have a separate Laborer role for that. This is for someone who already knows the work.
What You'll Do
- Lay out fence lines from plans, stakes, or Foreman direction — verify measurements before you dig
- Set posts plumb, aligned, and to standard depth; place and finish post concrete
- Install wood, chain-link, ornamental, and farm/ranch fence to our installation standards
- Hang and adjust gates; install hardware and latches for proper swing and alignment
- Operate augers, saws, and small equipment safely
- Guide and help train Laborers on your crew
- Document completed work with photos at end-of-day close-out
- Catch problems early — wrong materials, grade issues, layout conflicts — and flag them before they cost hours
What We're Looking For
- 1+ year of fence, concrete, or similar construction experience
- Can read a tape accurately, run string line, and check plumb and level
- Works at a steady production pace with limited supervision
- Shows up on time, every scheduled day — reliability is the #1 thing we measure
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
Pay & Benefits
- $18.00 – $25.00/hr to start, based on experience and skill verification
- Weekly pay — payday every Thursday for the prior week
- Overtime at 1.5x for hours over 40
- 6 paid holidays after 90 days (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas) — paid at 1.5x
- 3 days paid personal time after 1 year
- PPE, company shirts, and job tools provided
- 30/60/90-day check-ins with a written scorecard — you'll always know where you stand and what moves your rate up
Where This Goes
Laborer → Installer → Foreman → Project Manager is a real path here with defined pay bands, not a talking point. Our Foremen come off our crews. If you produce, work safe, and help the guys around you, you move up.
Straight Talk About the Work
We'd rather tell you now than have you quit in week two:
- This is physically demanding outdoor work in all Oklahoma weather — summer heat and winter cold
- You'll regularly lift and carry up to 80 lbs, dig, drive posts, and mix and place concrete
- Long days, and occasional Saturdays during peak season or for make-up days
- Rained-out time not worked is unpaid — but we offer make-up hours and shop work when we can
- We're a drug-free workplace and a no call/no show is treated as a serious violation
