- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final product inspections.
- Verify products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
- Stop production when nonconforming parts or processes are identified.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and sampling plans.
- Receive, document, and track sample parts within the Quality Lab tracking system.
- Review laboratory test results to ensure all required inspections and testing have been completed and properly documented.
- Issue, maintain, and track production gauges used on the manufacturing floor.
- Perform sorting and containment activities as needed.
- Assist the Quality Engineer and Quality Manager with quality initiatives, investigations, and other departmental activities.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic math skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining high quality standards.
- Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges.
- Familiarity with reading engineering drawings and GD&T is a plus.
- Regularly stand and walk throughout the workday.
- Frequently use hands for handling, reaching, grasping, and fine manipulation.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color vision, with or without corrective lenses that meet required safety standards.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while following all required safety procedures.
