Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team at The UPS Store in Marlton, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a passion for retail, contributing to an engaging shipping experience for our customers. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers, managing transactions, and maintaining the overall presentation of the store.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and processing of payments.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits, enhancing their shopping experience.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and increase sales.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring products are stocked and well-presented.
- Assess packing needs and use trained skills to pack items for shipment.
- Sort customer mail.
- Assist with stocking shelves, inventory management, and replenishing merchandise as needed.
- Utilize basic math skills for handling cash transactions and performing retail math calculations accurately.
- Uphold phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or directing calls appropriately.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with retail store a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers
- Basic math proficiency for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Packing and shipping experience a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced retail setting.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
