Position Summary
This is a hands-on position that combines warehouse operations, donation processing, customer service, and retail support. While much of your day will be spent in the warehouse receiving and processing donations, every member of our team is expected to assist throughout the store as needed.
No two days are exactly alike. If you enjoy variety, physical work, solving problems, and working as part of a team, you'll fit right in.
Primary Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, inspect, and process donated merchandise
- Load customer purchases safely and efficiently
- Drive the Habitat ReStore donation truck for scheduled donation pickups
- Assist with donation intake and communicate professionally with donors
- Move furniture and merchandise using pallet jacks, dollies, and other equipment
- Stock, organize, and merchandise the sales floor
- Price merchandise as assigned
- Operate the cash register and provide cashier coverage when needed
- Provide outstanding customer service to shoppers and donors
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and sales floor
- Assist with opening, closing, daily cleaning, and general store operations
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the ReStore

Requirements
Applicants must:
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Be eligible to drive the Habitat for Humanity ReStore donation truck
- Successfully pass a criminal background check
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Be available to work Saturdays
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance
- Push, pull, bend, climb, and stand for extended periods
- Work comfortably in warehouse and outdoor environments during all seasons
