Truck Drivers are charged with safely operating the semi-truck and attached trailer to and from the farm.
- Operation of semi-truck and trailer
- Frequent performance of wash-out procedures of incoming/outgoing tankers and trucks
- Frequent loading and unloading of product
- Routine truck maintenance including, but not limited to, greasing, fluid changes, and tire replacement
- Learn and apply recordkeeping requirements and procedures
- Documentation as required by procedures
- Responsible for all other duties as assigned
- Class A CDL license with tanker endorsement, DOT medical card required
- High school diploma, or equivalent certification preferred
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Effective listening skills
- Ability to keep accurate records
- Working knowledge of DOT rules/regulations, including pre and post trip requirements
- Climbing ladders on tankers up to 10 feet
- Lifting minimum of 50 pounds
- Constant activities of work environment include standing, walking, balancing, bending/stooping, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, pulling a resistance of 20 pounds
- Occasional forklift operation
- Occasional hand tool and power tool operation
- Exposure to animal dander, dust, sulfite allergens
- Ability to perform duties in all ranges of weather conditions
- Ability to drive for maximum of ELD restrictions
- Frequent overnight travel expected
