Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Dispatcher specializing in Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) to coordinate and manage transportation services efficiently. Duties
- Coordinate daily dispatching of NEMT vehicles using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine to optimize routes and schedules.
- Utilize GPS and GIS tools to monitor vehicle locations, ensure adherence to routes, and respond swiftly to any delays or emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, patients, healthcare providers, and team members via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
- Enter accurate data into systems like AS400 and transportation management platforms for scheduling, billing, and reporting purposes.
- Manage freight, shipping & receiving documentation related to patient transport services and coordinate with 3PL providers when necessary.
- Conduct analysis of transportation data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within supply chain and logistics operations.
- Maintain fleet management records, including vehicle maintenance schedules, driver logs, and compliance documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of GIS, GPS technology, logistics, and transportation planning principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally and courteously.
- Demonstrated analysis skills for route optimization, data entry accuracy, and operational troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with freight logistics, shipping & receiving procedures, fleet management practices, and supply chain concepts.
- Proficiency in typing and data entry within systems like AS400 or SyteLine.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
