Senior Data Engineer – Azure Databricks – Sacramento, CA
HANA E Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer on Azure Databricks and enterprise data modernization.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
- Build integrations using APIs, Kafka, Event Hub, and Databricks Connect
- Lead SQL Server to Databricks migration initiatives
- Develop Delta Lake data models and medallion architecture
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers
- Support data quality and operational excellence
Required Skills
- 10+ years of Data Engineering experience
- 3+ years of Azure Databricks experience
- Expert-level PySpark, SQL, Python, and Delta Lake skills
- Experience with APIs, streaming, ODBC/JDBC integrations
- Utility industry experience highly preferred
Certifications
- Databricks Data Engineer Professional Certification required
