Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Wastewater Maintenance Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems for a public utility. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, valves, motors, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills.
- Operate and calibrate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to assess system performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Follow safety protocols related to high voltage systems and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Support emergency responses by performing quick repairs or adjustments during system failures or incidents.
- Collaborate with team members and external vendors for technical sales support or specialized repairs when necessary.
- Ability to work extended hours, including nights, evenings and/or weekends and holidays when required
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license
- Have a CDL License or the ability to obtain one
- Must be able to lift a minumum of 50lbs
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with industrial mechanics, hydraulics, HVAC/R, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and control diagrams for troubleshooting machinery.
- Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools accurately.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking and documentation.
- Electrical experience including working with low voltage and high voltage systems safely.
- Excellent analysis skills to identify root causes of equipment failures quickly and efficiently.
- Strong customer service orientation when interacting with internal teams or external vendors.
- Effective communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration across departments.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
