Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Periodontist to join our dynamic dental team. As a specialist in periodontal health, you will focus on diagnosing, treating, and preventing periodontal (gum) diseases, as well as performing advanced procedures such as dental implants, oral surgery, and tissue regeneration. Your expertise will help improve patients’ oral health and confidence through comprehensive periodontal care. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to diagnose periodontal conditions using dental terminology and medical imaging techniques.
- Develop personalized treatment plans for periodontal disease management, including non-surgical therapies and surgical interventions.
- Perform complex procedures such as dental implants, root canal therapy, oral surgery, and periodontal surgeries with precision and aseptic technique.
- Utilize dental software systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix to document medical records accurately while adhering to HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with general dentists and specialists in prosthodontics, orthodontics, pediatrics, and anesthesiology to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive measures, and post-treatment care to promote long-term periodontal health.
- Maintain infection control standards and ensure compliance with all healthcare diagnosis protocols during procedures.
- Assist in dental fabrication processes when necessary and support the team with dental office experience to enhance patient satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Periodontist or in a similar dental specialist role within a busy dental clinic environment.
- Deep knowledge of dental diagnosis, medical terminology, and anatomy related to periodontal health.
- Hands-on experience with dental extractions, implant placement, endodontics, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures.
- Skilled in using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix for accurate documentation.
- Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and medical imaging technologies essential for safe practice.
- Strong client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws to ensure confidentiality and compliance at all times.
