Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Material Handler to join our team in Flowery Branch, United States. This is a 3rd shift position with a schedule of 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and accurate movement of materials within our warehouse facility, ensuring smooth operations and the timely delivery of products. Candidates must have experience operating forklifts and reach trucks and be able to safely and efficiently move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, store, and retrieve materials
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments
- Accurately track inventory using computerized inventory management systems
- Organize and maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues
- Assist in conducting periodic inventory counts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
- Identify and report any discrepancies in inventory or shipments
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in warehouse or material handling roles
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to safety and following proper procedures
- Forklift certification
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
