Mallard Medical Supply LLC is a growing Durable Medical Equipment (DME) provider seeking an experienced Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our in-office team.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in DME billing, preferably with Enteral Nutrition experience, who is comfortable working in Brightree. The ideal candidate understands the DME reimbursement process, can effectively manage accounts receivable, and takes ownership of claims from submission through payment.
Key Responsibilities
- Submit, monitor, and manage insurance claims for Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance carriers.
- Perform proactive accounts receivable follow-up to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Investigate, appeal, and resolve claim denials and payment discrepancies.
- Process and manage Enteral billing, including required documentation and payer compliance.
- Verify patient eligibility and assist with authorization and documentation requirements.
- Post payments, adjustments, and maintain accurate patient account records.
- Communicate professionally with physicians' offices, referral sources, insurance companies, and patients.
- Maintain accurate billing records within Brightree.
- Stay current with payer guidelines and ensure claims are submitted accurately and compliantly.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing issues and improve reimbursement timelines.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing experience.
- Experience working with accounts receivable and insurance claim follow-up.
- Experience using Brightree billing software.
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience billing Enteral Nutrition products.
- Experience with Arkansas Medicaid and multi-state Medicaid billing.
- Knowledge of prior authorizations and medical necessity documentation.
- Experience with high-volume DME billing operations.
- Familiarity with payer audits and documentation compliance.
