American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology & Infusion travel position in Washington, DC, requiring active APHON certification and a DC RN license.

Outpatient Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and Pediatric Infusion (Pediatric Sub-Specialties) setting

Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts; may be assigned as the early shift (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) or late shift (8:30 AM–5:00 PM)

40 hours per week

Floating to Pediatrics, Infusion, and Pediatric Sub-Specialties departments as needed

EMR: Epic

Active DC RN license required — pending licensure not accepted

Active certifications required: BLS and APHON — pending certifications not accepted

Experience with chemotherapy and infusion therapy administration required

Port access/de-access experience required

Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Responsibilities include port access/de-access, IV initiation, infusion therapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, blood product administration, therapeutic phlebotomy, pain and symptom management, injections, patient teaching, care coordination via phone and EMR, vaccine administration, record transfers, and daily equipment checks and quality control
