Diversified Healthcare, a healthcare management company, has an excellent opportunity for a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator to manage its 182 bed skilled-nursing facility located in Lake Charles, LA. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in managing a successful skilled nursing facility, the desire to work independently while adhering to corporate policies and procedures, and the ability to lead the facility staff into delivering the highest level of customer service to its residents and families.
The Administrator is responsible for managing all of the facility operations, including: financial management, facility operations, staff oversight, quality measures and improvement, and compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines and regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility’s programs and activities in accordance with guidelines issued by the governing board.
- Assess and understand residents’ needs
- Develop and maintain written policies and procedures and professional standards of practice that govern the operation of the facility.
- Evaluation of performance, productivity of staff, as well as quality care and service given to residents and their families.
- Serve as a leader to establish rapport in and among departments so that each can realize the importance of teamwork.
- Assist department directors in the development, use, and implementation of departmental policies and procedures and professional standards of practice.
- Oversee Admissions/discharge, new hire procedures/trainings, daily census, MDS, Care Planning, filing ,and documentation
- Participate in state/federal surveys of the facility and formulate a plan of action as needed.
- Financial management and budget control for all departments
Requirements
- Current Louisiana Licensed Administrator (LNFA)
- Bachelor degree minimum, Business Management/Health Care Administration Preferred
- Management and administrative experience in medical field
- MDS, PPS, Medicare, and Medicaid knowledge
