We are seeking a passionate and Christ-centered Art and Music Teacher who will inspire students to explore their God‑given creativity while meeting Florida state academic standards for visual arts. The ideal candidate will create a joyful, structured, and spiritually nurturing classroom environment where students can develop artistic skills, experiment with various media, and learn to appreciate the beauty of God’s creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach engaging, age‑appropriate art lessons aligned with Florida state standards for visual arts and music.
- Integrate biblical principles and a Christian worldview into daily instruction and classroom culture.
- Introduce students to a variety of artistic techniques, materials, and styles.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming art classroom.
- Assess student progress using clear, standards‑based criteria and provide meaningful feedback.
- Prepare and display student artwork for school events, hallways, and community celebrations.
- Collaborate with school leadership and classroom teachers to support school‑wide projects and special events.
- Model Christ-like character, professionalism, and a heart for ministry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Music Education, and Fine Arts, or a related field (required).
- Teaching certification preferred; willingness to work toward meeting state requirements is acceptable.
- Experience working with children in a school or ministry setting.
- Strong classroom management skills rooted in grace, consistency, and respect.
- Commitment to the mission, values, and statement of faith of a Christian school.
