Our state-licensed assisted living home is:
Small
Low-acuity
Resident-focused
Calm and structured
There are no nonstop call bells, no heavy clinical workload, and no high patient ratios.
This is assisted living support — not nursing care.
This role is significantly less physically and mentally demanding than skilled nursing or hospital positions, while still offering stable, consistent pay.
This position emphasizes supervision and resident support rather than constant physical labor.
About the Role
We are hiring an Overnight Awake Caregiver for a state-licensed assisted living home.
This role provides overnight supervision and resident support for 5 residents in a quiet, stable environment. Work schedule is SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. If you can't commit to schedule please do not apply.
Overnight shifts are generally calm, but this is an awake position, meaning you must remain alert and available throughout the night.
What You Will Be Doing
Overnight Awake Responsibilities
On-site presence for resident safety
Continuous supervision throughout the night
Light assistance as needed (bathroom support, reassurance, redirection)
Monitoring residents and responding appropriately
Maintaining a calm and safe environment
Light resident-related tidying if needed
Who This Is For
- Caregivers with assisted living or home care experience
Requirements
- Prior caregiving experience preferred
- Comfortable with overnight on-call presence
- Background check required
- CMT and CPR certifications required
- Physical exam and background clearance
- English proficiency (spoken and written)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable, professional, and detail‑focused
Schedule & Pay
- Pay: $180 per scheduled night.
