Join Our Team at A Better Day ABA: At A Better Day ABA, we specialize in offering applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism in various settings, including homes, schools, and communities. We opened our clinic in James City County for young children who need intensive ABA therapy. We know that ABA done right can change the trajectory of a child's education.
Position Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to take on the role of a behavior technician (BT) and become an integral part of our dedicated team. As a behavior technician, you will be responsible for providing personalized ABA therapy to our young clients with special needs, under the direct, on-site supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Qualifications: While previous experience in ABA is desirable, it is not mandatory. ABA therapy focuses on teaching new behaviors, so if you are energetic and enjoy working with children, we can provide the necessary training. - We offer comprehensive training, continuous supervision, and a supportive work environment that distinguishes us from others in the field.
Compensation:
$23+ hourly
Responsibilities:-
Conduct 1:1 applied behavior analysis sessions in our new clinic (and occasionally in the home or community setting) based on individualized treatment plans (ISPs) created by BCBAs.

Utilize the provided iPad for data collection to track and assess the effectiveness of treatment plans.

Document progress on treatment goals through daily written session notes.

Collaborate with the supervising BCBA to review progress and address any barriers that the client or technician may be facing during the session.

Establish and maintain professional relationships with both families and staff at A Better Day ABA, PLC.

Protect client confidentiality and service rights.

Provide and/or receive information from other staff members regarding client preferences, progress, and clinical observations, respectfully and concisely.

Assist with toileting, feeding skills, and adaptive skills.
Qualifications:-
To apply for the position of Behavior Technician in Williamsburg, VA, US, candidates must possess a high school diploma.

Reliable transportation is required to commute to the clinic and/or the client's home.

Applicants should be capable of lifting up to 50lbs, bending, sitting on the floor, and engaging in active play.

Completion of a 40-hour RBT training program before joining our team is mandatory, and we can guide applicants on how to obtain this training.
- Our clinic is open from 9am-6pm with opportunities for full-day or half-day schedules. Reliable transportation and M-F availibility are mandatory requirements. We provide in-home/community sessions to our currently enrolled clients as needed.
