Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, with a focus on presentation and quality
- Process sales transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments with precision
- Upsell menu items including specialty drinks or desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations and restaurant policies
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth service flow
- Build rapport with guests through excellent customer service skills and guest relations techniques
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or casual settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order processing and sales transactions
- Extensive cocktail and spirits experience with an understanding of beverage service standards
- Knowledge of wine types, wine knowledge, and proper serving techniques to enhance guest enjoyment
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Food handling certification and understanding of sanitation practices to ensure food safety compliance
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Experience with OpenTable reservation system is a plus for managing guest bookings effectively
