HVAC INSTALLER For NEW CONSTRUCTION HOMES.
Independent Contractor Opportunity
We’re looking for dependable independent contractors to perform HVAC installations in new construction homes. Experience is preferred, but not required. We’ll train motivated individuals who are reliable and willing to learn.
Compensation and Scheduling
- Pay is $185 per completed home, not per hour. (If experienced, there Is $20 increase in pay.
- Whether the installation takes 3 hours or 2 days, compensation remains $185 (or $200 for experienced worker) for that completed home.
- We don’t require you to work a specific number of hours.
- If you complete the installation correctly in 2 hours, As long as the home meets code, and passes inspection, we don’t require you to work a minimum amount of hours.
- When a second home is available, efficient contractors may have the opportunity to complete two homes in one dayz
- Completing two homes correctly in one day pays $420 total, which includes $370 for both homes plus a $50 completion bonus.
- Additional work depends on your speed, workmanship, inspection results, and project availability. It’s rare when we don’t have a home to complete for that day but it does happen.
- Weather or construction delays may require returning another day to complete the installation.
- Work isn’t guaranteed every day because assignments depend on builder schedules and availability. We can Guarantee at least 4 days of work a week. Sometimes we have 7 days of work available if you’re interested in working more than 5 days a week. If we have it, you’re welcome to work.
Responsibilities you can expect but aren’t limited to:
- HVAC trim and ductwork
- Installing FAHU systems, vents, registers, thermostats, and related equipment
- Working in attics and unfinished homes
- Climbing ladders and handling HVAC materials
- Completing every installation safely, correctly, according to code, and to the standards required to pass inspection
Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Your own tools (eventually you’ll need a generator if you don’t have one already)
- Willingness to travel between Lake Havasu City, Kingman, Bullhead City, and Fort Mohave
- Ability to work in seasonal heat and cold
- Ability to work efficiently and professionally with another contractor.
- General liability insurance and any legally required workers compensation or occupational accident coverage
Contractors must be able to provide proof of insurance when starting work. Each contractor is responsible for their own insurance, injuries, taxes, licenses, transportation, expenses, and business obligations.
This is an independent contractor opportunity. We don’t provide employee benefits, unemployment benefits, or workers compensation coverage. Contractors must sign an independent contractor agreement and applicable Arizona independent contractor documentation before beginning work.
Any tools or generators we provide must be protected and returned in good condition. Contractors will be responsible for reimbursing or replacing lost, unreturned, misused, or negligently damaged equipment according to the signed agreement and applicable law.
A clean record isn’t required. Applicants are considered individually, and we don’t discriminate.
