Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Controls Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical control systems that drive our production equipment. Your expertise in industrial electrical systems, automation, and instrumentation will ensure optimal equipment performance, safety, and reliability. Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues across a variety of manufacturing equipment using schematics, wiring diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and electrical blueprints.
- Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on sensors, vision inspection systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and other industrial controls.
- Repair and replace electrical components including relays, sensors, motors, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators, low voltage systems, and electrical instrumentation.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, control wiring diagrams, and engineering troubleshooting manuals to identify root causes of equipment failures.
- Program, modify, and optimize PLCs such as Calypso or similar platforms to enhance automation processes.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters, multimeters, precision measuring instruments, and other testing devices to ensure system integrity.
- Collaborate with mechanical teams to troubleshoot pneumatic systems, piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and mechanical components affecting electrical controls.
- Follow electrical safety procedures diligently during maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Support field service activities by providing technical expertise during equipment installation or upgrades in manufacturing settings.
- Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, calibrations, modifications, and inspections for compliance and continuous improvement purposes.
Experience
- Proven industrial electrician experience with a strong background in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
- Hands-on experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), sensors, vision inspection systems, CNC machinery, and low voltage electrical systems.
- Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical knowledge related to industrial automation equipment maintenance is highly desirable.
- Skilled in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, P&IDs, schematics for instrumentation and control systems.
- Experience with calibration procedures for sensors and instrumentation used in manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures applicable to industrial environments is essential.
- Ability to utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and field service testing instruments effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent customer service orientation when working with internal teams or external vendors.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
