The development intern completes duties assigned and provides administrative and clerical support for development team.
v Event Planning
o Assisting with details surrounding AVDA’s major events throughout the year such as the New Beginnings Luncheon, Family Fun Day, and the Home Safe Home Gala.
o Ability to communicate well on the telephone and displays appropriate email etiquette.
o Support event planning updates through clerical tasks.
v Post-Event
o Helping to thank guests from compiled address lists.
o Assisting with invoicing pledges.
o Executing tasks related to acknowledging donations from guests.
o Completing post-event photo duties using address list information.
v Donation Database System
o Develop an understanding of the CRM fundraising database system within a non-profit organization.
o Assist with data entry, exporting and drafting acknowledgement letters.
v Provide clerical support to development staff as needed and help with other tasks and projects as assigned
v Participate in community outreach and fundraising activities as needed
v All additional duties assigned
1. High school diploma or equivalent certification2. Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook
3. Possession of general office skills, such as word processing, file maintenance, data entry, and business writing
4. Knowledge of copy machines and other general office equipment
5. Good telephone skills and clear speaking voice6. Good grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills
Physical/Mental Requirements
1. Ability to lift approximately 25 pounds occasionally
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 per hour
